Castle View Primary School

Welcome To Castle View Primary School

Dear parents
Unfortunately we have had a report of a positive case of COVID-19 in our Year 4 class, so we have closed that bubble, and children in that class will have to self-isolate for 10 days. This will mean that children can stop isolating and leave their homes on Sunday 2nd May.
Remote education will be provided for all children in Year 4 on our learning platform, Seesaw. Please ensure your child accesses this work.
We urge all of our families to take the self-isolation period seriously, as our school has been badly affected by cases recently. This endangers the health of people in our school community, and stops children from getting a good education.
We will contact the families of those children who are entitled to free school meals, to discuss food parcels tomorrow.

Please take care and be safe everyone.

We are a small community primary school sited on the Ridge Estate in the heart of Lancaster.

Our school is led by Miss Claire Bright (Headteacher) who took up the post in January 2019, and who is supported by our wonderful school staff.

The school is maintained by Lancashire County Council, and is managed by a Governing Body made up of community, family, school, and Local Authority representatives.

We are really proud of the community that is our school, and we hope these pages will show you why!

Coronavirus Update: Monday 21st September 2020 7p.m. Message from Head Teacher

Dear families,
Many of you will know that we have had a confirmed case of COVID-19 in school. We have only had one case and this was a child in Reception. All the children who have had contact with this child have been told to self-isolate. Other children in different bubbles within the school have always been separated from this child, and therefore do not have any higher risk of catching COVID-19 than they had before. Please could all parents read the updated safety measures we are taking at school around dropping off and picking up children? Many thanks for all your patience during this difficult time. (Letter re masks in the playground 21.9.20)
